The house perches on a knoll only 50 feet from the pond, so the main floor is above the beach, permitting wonderful sunset views, and cooling you with soft breezes.

Herring Pond, which is monitored by the town for cleanliness, provides a raft out in the pond that children love to swim to and jump from. Here you can wade, swim, boat and fish in near total privacy.

The property is secluded, quiet and natural. We’ve got a large flat grassy area for kicking a ball around, a paved basketball court and lots of mysterious corners for children to explore.

If you tire of clear, fresh water to swim in, First Encounter Beach on the bay is only a mile away, and the closest National Seashore ocean beach two miles in the other direction. The bike trail, accessible only steps from the property, has just been repaved, and stretches for miles in both directions.
